Accessibility statement

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. This page says where we currently do, where we do not, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.

Standard we work to

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA. We test with an automated checker on every change and review manually alongside it, because automation catches roughly a third of the criteria and no more.

What we have done

  • Text contrast meets 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text on the public marketing pages, verified by a checker that composites transparent and layered backgrounds rather than guessing at them.
  • Every page has one h1 and a heading order with no skipped levels.
  • A skip link to main content on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • All images carry alt text, and decorative images are marked as such.
  • Every form field has an associated label. Errors are announced to assistive technology.
  • Links within prose are underlined, not distinguished by colour alone.
  • Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Wide tables scroll within their own container, so the page never scrolls sideways.

Known gaps

Listed rather than omitted, because a statement that claims full conformance without qualification is usually wrong.

Client portal and admin
The signed-in application has not been assessed to the same standard as the public site. It is behind authentication and is on the roadmap, not done.
Older marketing pages
Two lead-magnet pages use a bespoke layout that has not yet been brought onto the shared components. They are being migrated.
Third-party fonts
We load webfonts from Google Fonts. If that request is slow the page renders in a fallback face first.
Screen reader testing
We test with automated tooling and keyboard navigation. We have not completed a full manual pass with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
